How We Collect Data

Our data is compiled from multiple sources:

  • Direct outreach: Funders can submit updates to their own listings via our submission form

How We Categorize Providers

We classify MCA providers into three types:

  • Direct Funder: Uses its own capital to fund advances. Examples: OnDeck, Credibly, Fora Financial.
  • Platform / Embedded: Offers MCA through a payment or e-commerce platform. Examples: PayPal Working Capital, Square Capital, Stripe Capital.
  • Marketplace / Broker: Connects businesses with multiple funders. Examples: Lendio, SmartBiz, Funding Circle.

MCA Directory is an independent resource. We are not a lender, broker, or ISO. Listings are not paid placements, and the order of providers is determined by our rating methodology, not by advertising relationships. Some pages may contain sponsored content, which is always clearly labeled.

Ratings

Provider ratings are aggregated from third-party review platforms. We compile and display the average rating and total review count to help you gauge a provider's reputation. Ratings do not reflect our editorial opinion and should be one factor among many in your decision.

Updates

We refresh our directory monthly, adding new providers, updating existing listings, and removing funders that are no longer active. If you spot outdated or incorrect information, please let us know.
